Brrr. It's cold.  Icy walk to work, via Top Pot donuts.  The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Took a bus to Ballard to get rolfed.  The rolfing helped my tweaked back immensely.  This is a fellow passenger on the bus ride home.






My desk is a mess.  You can't even tell from this photo, but there is about a month's unopened mail here.  I spent this Thursday evening opening mail.  And received an unexpected visitor.


Had my first eye exam in 3 years, and then got lunch at the vegetarian restaurant across the street, where this scene was photographed.

After attending a private party in a hotel suite downtown for New Years Eve, I stayed with a friend who lives downtown, rather than wading through mayhem to get home.  We both slept until 1 p.m., oddly.  I never sleep that late unless I stay up far later or get far more fucked up than I had.  I started 2008 well-rested, and ate a large bowl of oatmeal with molasses.  I walked home, about two miles uphill, and snapped this sad little fellow not too far from my place.

I walk to and from work every day.  This time of year it is generally forty degrees, rainy, and dark... all the time. Here's a warped condo ad on my way home.

After a rather leisurely morning strangely devoid of donuts, I met my friend who was visiting from Paris at Remedy Teas and had a small pot of "Mentalitea." I then went home and did a lot of writing.

Today was not devoid of donuts, and I snapped this seated in front of the fake books at Top Pot.  They're real books, but nothing anyone would ever read.  My friend picked me up for an impromptu drive to Renton. Ikea and Burger King left me feeling rather ill later.

Work put me in a rather snarky mood. I spent the evening doing laundry.  This the staircase leading down to the basement where I do that.

I made my hairdresser's day by asking for a radical change.  I went from long and medium brown to short and very nearly black.  It improved my mood 200%.  I took my friend out for sushi to celebrate.

Met another friend for sushi Saturday night and ended up doing a music hard-drive exchange.  I now have a completely full 60GB iPod. Intimidating.
