Getting Over It
It's like getting a cold. The first day is pretty bad, you might not be able to do much because you feel like your head is full of liquid and your body aches. It is difficult to concentrate and all you want to do is sleep... so sleep. Day two you think for a minute that you're over it, but you're not. Something is going to remind you of that which you are trying to get over and render you useless once again. Drink plenty of fluid to purge toxic emotions and take a hot bath with Epsom salt. Go to bed early.
Make sure you plan ahead for the week. You should have healthy food, exercise, a massage, and possibly a haircut. Send an email to everyone you know, just to say hi. Looking back will prevent you from ever Getting Over It, so keep yourself planted firmly in the present. Take naps, watch DVDs.
As you begin to Get Over It, you must be vigilant with self-care and detox or you may have a relapse. If you're healthy, you may well be over it by the end of the week! But if not, don't despair. You will Get Over It. It's just a matter of time.
